DJ | Producer | Remixer | Founder of SoulJack Digital

Born in Chicago. Raised on House.

Mr. Tony Technics, born Tony Montes, is a Chicago-based House Music DJ, producer, remixer, and founder of SoulJack Digital. With a DJ career spanning nearly three decades, he has dedicated his life to preserving, promoting, and advancing the culture of Chicago House Music.

Growing up in Chicago's historic Littlw Village neighborhood, Tony developed a passion for music inspired by the legendary sounds of Chicago's House Music pioneers, including the influential Hot Mix 5 and MixMasters. His musical journey began in 1997, when he stepped behind the turntables and began developing his signature style.

Known for his versatility, Mr. Tony Technics blends Classic Chicago House, Jackin' House, Deep House, Soulful House, Disco, Latin House, and energetic underground rhythms. His performances combine old-school influences with contemporary sounds, creating musical experiences that connect generations of House Music enthusiasts.

Throughout his career, Tony has performed at clubs, festivals, and special events across multiple states throughout the United States and internationally in Mexico, bringing the authentic spirit of Chicago House Music to diverse audiences.

His involvement in radio broadcasting has included Chicago's WCRX 88.1 FM and Omaha's Energy 90.5 FM, further expanding his reach and sharing his passion for dance music with listeners beyond the dance floor.

In February 2014, Tony expanded his artistic career into music production and remixing with his debut production, "Chi-Shots." That same year marked the establishment of SoulJack Digital, his independent record label and creative platform dedicated to underground electronic dance music.

Through SoulJack Digital, Tony has continued supporting independent artists, producers, and DJs while championing the sounds and traditions of Chicago House Music. His musical projects also include Ritmo Y Soul, focusing on Latin, Deep, and Soulful House, and SoulJack Noir, exploring the darker, underground sounds of Techno.

Beyond performing and producing, Tony has remained committed to supporting his community. His involvement with Chicago's House Music culture includes the creation of House of Sol, associated with the Fiesta del Sol festival, and Ritmo De House.

His community contributions also include working with the Chicago Teachers Union Foundation (CTUF), sharing knowledge of DJ techniques, music production, and House Music history with young people.

Continuing that commitment, Tony is developing SoulJack Digital Lab, a youth-focused educational initiative designed to provide opportunities in DJing, electronic music production, Latin dance, and digital graphic design, particularly for young people in underserved communities.

Today, Mr. Tony Technics continues to perform, produce, mentor, and develop creative projects through SoulJack Digital, remaining committed to the music, culture, and community that shaped his artistic journey.

For Mr. Tony Technics, House Music is more than a genre. It is a culture, a community, and a lifelong passion.
